Jättepaddan

A generous and very comfortable armchair which has become one of Malmstens most wanted.

It was designed in 1934, but was only made sporadic until the 1990’s when it was put in continuous production. Ten years later it was considered to be the most comfortable armchair in a test conducted by Sweden’s largest magazine for Interior design – Sköna Hem! Carl Malmsten gave all his pieces characteristic names, either describing the piece itself or the client ordering it. Concerning Jättepaddan (Giant Toad) we stick to the first alternative.
